Ingredients:
Potatoes – 4
Onions – 1 big (sliced)
Ginger – 1 inch chopped
Green chillies – 2 slit
Turmeric powder – 0.5 tsp
Chilly Powder – 0.5 tsp
Besan – 2 tsps
Mustard – 1 tsp
Channa Dal – 2 tsps
Oil – 2 tsps
Curry leaves – 5 to 6
Lemon juice – 2 tsps
Coriander leaves (chopped) for garnishing
Salt as per taste
Preparation:
First boil potatoes in cooker for 2 whistles. Once done, peel and cut them into cubes and keep it ready.
Mix the besan with some water and make it a thin paste and keep it aside.
Method:
In a hot kadai add oil, mustard seeds and channa dal. Once mustard splutters add onion, green chillies and ginger and sauté till onion turns translucent. Now add chopped Potatoes, salt, turmeric powder and chilly powder and mix it well.
Now pour the besan mixture and keep stirring till it starts thickening. Keep the flame low and mash the potatoes if required.
Switch off the stove and garnish it with lemon juice and coriander leaves.
You can serve it with hot pooris or rava idly. 😃
